EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GET STARTED AT WARATAHS

Choosing the right early learning centre for your child is an important decision. We want the process of joining Waratahs to feel straightforward and welcoming from the beginning.

Waratah Early Learning Centre provides Long Day Care and Preschool for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years in Orange NSW.

CARE FROM 6 WEEKS TO 5 YEARS

Our five dedicated rooms support children through each stage of their early learning journey. Each classroom has its own separate sleeping area and art space, along with dining rooms overlooking the gardens.

BABY 1: 6 weeks to 18 months
BABY 2: 1–2 years
JUNIOR ROOM: 2–3 years
PRESCHOOL 1: 3–4 years
PRESCHOOL 2: 3–5 years

FEES & CHILD CARE SUBSIDY

Our current daily fees, before Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and/or applicable Start Strong Fee Relief, are:

BABY 1: $185
BABY 2: $185
JUNIOR ROOM: $179
PRESCHOOL 1: $171
PRESCHOOL 2: $171
CASUAL CARE: Varies by classroom

Fees are paid weekly or fortnightly by direct debit. Fees continue during absences due to illness, holidays or other reasons. Fees are not charged during Waratah’s annual two-week Christmas closure.

OPENING HOURS

Waratah Early Learning Centre is open:
Monday to Friday, 6.30am–6.30pm

The centre is closed on public holidays and for two weeks over the Christmas period.

ENROLLING YOUR CHILD

Before your child commences at Waratahs, we’ll guide you through the enrolment process and the information required to establish their place at the centre.

Australian early childhood education and care services are required to obtain specific information regarding a child’s immunisation status before enrolment, so families will need to provide the appropriate documentation as part of this process.

Our team can help you understand what information is required and answer any questions you may have before your child’s first day.

HEALTH, SAFETY & WELLBEING

The health, safety and wellbeing of every child is central to the way we operate.

Our educators maintain qualifications in First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and Child Protection, and the centre follows established policies and procedures covering areas including illness, medication, sun safety, nutrition and food safety.

Families receive further information about relevant policies and procedures as part of the enrolment process.

MAKING MORNINGS A LITTLE EASIER

Waratahs is a fully catered service, providing your child’s everyday essentials while they’re in our care.

Included are:
• Meals & drinks
• Bottles & formula
• Nappies & change products
• Bibs & bed linen
• Hats & sunscreen

So there’s less to pack, less to remember and one less thing to think about on busy mornings.

FRESH MEALS EVERY DAY

Nutritious food is an important part of every day at Waratahs.

Children are provided with fresh meals and snacks, including a hot main meal each day and wholesome morning and afternoon teas. Breakfast and supper are also available for children attending during those hours.

Short on time? Running late for work? Use our drop off door service between 8am–9am.

Eligible families may receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to reduce their out-of-pocket child care costs.

To receive CCS, families need to complete the required activity information through their myGov account and provide Waratahs with the relevant CRN and date-of-birth details so a valid child care account can be established.

Start Strong Fee Relief may also be available for eligible children who turn 3 or 4 before 31 July. Please speak with our office for further information and the required declaration form.
